An attempt to elucidate the mystery of web server vs application server

Web server: Starting from word web. Web as we know is made most of static content. Taking this as a lead - a web server is one which delivers static content like HTML.

Eg: Apache - Apache is written in C language and hence it is not portable to all machines. This would suggest it to be appropriate for a web server.

Application server: Application denotes dynamicism. Application server delivers dynamic content, interacts with the database.

Eg: Tomcat - written in Java, hence such dynamic content can be delievered to the user at any machine over the internet.

Testing FF 3

Firefox 3 appears to be fast and most likely to become the preferred browser. Not many new features readily evident, but definitely a lot better than FF 2.0.0.14 performance wise.

Over the time following Apple, it gives a feeling that its making a hoopla over not quite striking features as it is advertised. Recommend Apple to maintain simplicity and low profile in terms of its advertisement which it ofcourse it does not require. Masses will fall for it without any ads.

Mac - A King's Computer

This is the one for really individualistic people(truly Americanistic!) - Enjoy using it. One cannot stop wondering looking at each of the features of the new MAC OS 10.5.2. Every feature is really amazing and way coool!! I was wondering if there was really any body in the world who could build amazing stuff like google and I see one which is way ahead of it, 

APPLE. An individual's true expression.

Neruppu Nari ..as my web dev colleagues funnily call it.

I hadn't much known about the resourcefulness of this browser till I was a tester. But this post is for the non-geeky casual users of browsers.

If you want a browser that can do a lot in a Single interface without crashing down frequently, then firefox is known for it.

Apart from the tabbed browser(which IE has stolen) concept, there are plenty of useful add-ons, which will make ur browsing a rich experience. The bookmarks facility is very very helpful, but it consumes a bit of RAM, but there's an alternative in case you have lot of links to bookmark by adding del.icio.us as plug-in to replace the conventional bookmarks provided by firefox.

Being a bit lazy in calculating time differences between other countries and India, I used foxclocks plug-in which shows different timezones on your taskbar while you have firefox open.

A sticky reminder you want. Use internotes plug-in.

Do not bang firefox with loads of plug-in, I cannot help you from its nasty behaviour towards you.
